    Old Czech genetic resources(landraces) obsolete cultivars and modern Czech cultivars registered up to 90ies were studied using AFLP and SSR anaysis. The contributions of ndividual markers for diversity assessment vere validated using regression analysisand highly informative set markers was developed. DNA analysis affirmed a significant drift of genetic basis of modern cultivars in comparison with landraces and obsolete cultivars. The impact of Russian and French cultivars was recorded. We showed thatusing DNA markers it would be possible to reduce numbers of gene-bank accessions to maintain maximum number of alleles by the use of molecular markers
