    The effect of water supply during grain growth on grain nitrogen concentration (GNC) and grain nitrogen yield (GNY) of winter wheat was studied in the field experiment. The water regime was differentiated using mobile rain shelter (water shortage, treatment S),drip irrigation (ample water supply, treatment W) and control (R) at two nitrogen rates (N0, N1). The effect of water supply on GNC was highly significant (P<0.001) in fertilized wheat and not significant in N0. Drought significantly increased GNCin comparison with irrigated and rain-fed crop in N1. Soil Nmin together with nitrogen fertilization rate, indicators of water regime and temperature during grain growth period explained 78-97% of observed variability of GNC and GNY in the experiment.

    Vliv zásoby vody po kvetení na koncetraci (GNC) a výnos dusíku (GNY) v zrnu ozimé pšenice byl studován v polním pokusu na dvou úrovních zásoby dusíku. Vodní režim byl diferencován s pomocí mobilního krytu (stres, S), kapkovou závlahou (dostatečná zásoba,W), kontrolní varianta nebyla manipulována. Vliv vodního režimu na GNC byl vysoce průkazný jen u hnojené varianty. Stres průkazně zvyšoval GNC a snižoval GNY ve srovnání s kontrolou a zavlažovanou variantou. Zásoba půdního minerálního dusíku spolu s dávkou N, indikátorem vodního režimu a teplotou v průběhu růstu zrna vysvětlovalo 78-97% pozorované variability GNC a GNY.
