Impacts of long-term reduced tillage use on soil carbon content and water stable aggregates in Ortic Luvisol, loam soil.
Original language description
Results of soil analyses showed higher TOC content in soil samples from no tillage treatment and minimum tillage treatment as well, especially in upper layer of topsoil comparing to conventional tillage variant. Soil carbon sequestration by conservationtechnology use is indicated by growth of humus content in soil and increasing of Cox values. Soil samples were taken from three topsoil horizons. In NT treatment the highest humus content was measured out (3,47 - 3,10 %) and differences between CT and NTare yearly increasing. Aggregate stability measurement snowed that in horizon deep to 20cm in NT there was double amount of water resistant aggregates than in CT treatment. The values obtained did not depend upon doses of N fertilization but close correlation with year weather conditions appeared.
