Study and use of wheat genetic resources in Czech collection
Original language description
Czech wheat collection is the largest one in the Czech Republic and gathers 10 348 accessions; it is held in the Crop Research Institute (CRI) Prague. Yearly, we provide about 1 100 seed samples to users. Genetic variability of broad spectra of characters has been evaluated in selected set of 432 cultivars. These materials were further characterized by HMW glutenins and DNA markers (SSR). Pedigree analyses have been carried out and further important cvs. were chose to "core" collection of the total amount 353 accessions.
