The workshop was based on sharing knowledge of biophysical behavior of plants in low/ultra-low temperatures, on physiological assumptions of high regeneration rate, on cryopreservation techniques developed for a specific plant species/tissue and on logistic for cryobanking. During the workshop, the participants were introduced to the thermal analysis of plants as a new exact knowledge for modern cryopreservation of plant tissue.
