Detection of Moravian Isolates of GFLV: Comparison of Real-Time RT-PCR and ELISA
Original language description
To detect Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) in grapevine tissues, especially for certification of grapevine propagation materials, the Real-Time RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription - Polymerase Chain Reaction) TaqMan? assay was adopted and used. The comparison with DAS-ELISA detection method was made to verify higher sensitivity and reliability of Real-Time RT-PCR method. The Real-Time RT-PCR assay detected GFLV in all eight Moravian GFLV isolates tested, while DAS-ELISA was unable to detect GFLV in four of them.
