Rye translocation - possible breeding tool for nutritional quality improvement of wheat polysaccharides
Original language description
Hundreds of wheat cultivars are known to possess rye translocation 1B/1R because of the rust and powdery mildew resistance improvement in common wheat. On the other hand, limited information is known about its possible nutritional benefit in context of changes in starch and non-starch polysaccharides. Therefore, our study included mutual comparison of arabinoxylan contents and starch digestibility in selected wheat lines with-/without 1B/1R translocation.
