The workshop was focused on the exchange of experience between the cryobank workplace at the Crop Research Institute and IPK Gatesleben in the field of garlic cryopreservation. Three cryopreservation procedures were validated: cryopreservation of growing tips, topsets and subshoots. Different approaches and their advantages and disadvantages were discussed. Cooperation was agreed to organize a training school on cryopreservation of garlic in 2024.
