The females of lines divergently selected for the shape of the growth curve, i.e. low (LG) and high (HG) relative weight gain between 11 and 28 days of age (body weight at age of 49 days kept similar) differed in age in inflection point (t+ 15.6 vs. 20.7days of age) and body weight in inflection point (y+: 96.1 vs. 118.3 g). LG females, which reached the inflection point 5 days earlier then HG females started egg production 3 days earlier (44.6 vs. 47.5 day, respectively).The differenCES in sexual maturation are related to carcass composition. At age of 35 days the differenCES between lines were not significant in any of the following parameters. The correlation value between abdominal fat weight and number of follicleswas higher in LG (0.75 vs. 0.44).At age of 42 days the LG females showed significantly higher ovarian weight (6.16 vs. 2.18 g) and the number of follicles (9.2 vs. 4.6) and the lower weight of abdominal fat (2.4 vs. 3.2 g) and % of abdominal fat (1.7 vs. 2.1 %) than HG.
