The hypothesis that play experience during early ontogeny affects piglets ability to cope with weaning was verificated. The pre-weaning experiment was constructed to 3 play categories with: 1.obstacles, 2.littermates 3.aliens, with the expectance of increasing coping ability as follows: 3.>2.>1. In all 3 play categories the locomotor and social plays after weaning were studied. On day 3 after weaning, the frequency of social play behaviour was in the predict direction. Our results indicate the depression of play after weaning is profound but transient. Early play experience before weaning had some effect only on social play after weaning.

Vliv rané zkušenosti s hraním na hravé chování selat po odstavu
Czech description
Byla ověřována hypotéza, že zkušenost s hraním během rané ontogeneze ovlivňuje schopnost selat vyrovnat se s odstavem. Pokus se selaty před odstavem byl rozdělen do 3 kategorií: 1. s překážkami, 2. se zvířaty ze stejného vrhu, 3. se zvířaty cizími, přičemž se očekávalo, že schopnost odolat stresu po odstavu se bude zvyšovat takto: 3.>2.>1. Ve všech 3 kategoriích byly zkloumány lokomoční a sociální hry. Po 3 dnech po odstavu odpovídala frekvence sociálního hravého chování předpokládané. Naše výsledky ukazují, že pokles hravého chování po odstavu je výrazný, ale přechodný. Raná zkušenost s hraním před odstavem má jistý vliv jen na sociální hry po odstavu.
