Water infiltration under different soil tillage treatment.
Original language description
Soil infiltration ability is one of the key factors of a soil protection against unfavorable effects of water erosion. The ploughing (PL), shallow tillage (ST) and no-till (NT) effects on the soil physical and biological properties and water infiltrationinto soil under soil conditions loamy Haplic Luvision, with long-term growing of maize (Zea mays) were compared. Variant with PL has shown water saturation in the top layer, variants with reduced tillage were characterized by the vertical macropores andcracks effect on the water drain into deep layers. The water surface runoff beginning was shifted from 3.0 to 30.2. min. in case of PL. At the ST and NT trials the water surface runoff beginning were observed from among 6.5. and 15.3. min. and 8.1. to 49.0. min. respectively.
