Possibilities and impacts of inbreeding in Populus nigra L.
Original language description
Controlled pollination betweeen female trees of black poplar and their brother was carried out (inbreeding). At the same time female trees were exposed to open pollination. Field trial with seedlings from these crossings was estabilished, in which fitness among offspring from inbreeding and from open pollination was evaluated. Growth traits and susceptibility to Melampsora larici-populina were evaluated. On basis of parental analysis of 11 microsatellites was found that 25 - 75 % of the offspring came from spontaneous inbreeding. Inbreeding depression became evident after very first pollination between relatives in most cases.

Czech description
U topolu černého bylo provedeno kontrolované opylení mezi samičími stromy a jejich bratrem (inbreeding). Zároveň byly samičí stromy vystaveny volnému opylení. Ze vzniklých semenáčů byl sestaven polní pokus, ve kterém se hodnotila potomstva z příbuzenského a volného opylení. Hodnoceny byly růstové znaky a náchylnost ke rzi Melampsora larici-populina. Na základě rodičovské analýzy 11 mikrosatelitů bylo zjištěno, že 25 - 75 % potomků pochází ze spontánního inbreedingu. Inbrední deprese se ve většině případů projevila hned po prvním příbuzenském křížení.
