The imagoes of Diptera as vectors of mycobacterial infections in cattle and swine herds
Original language description
Mycobacteria are commonly present in water, soil, plants, feed, litter, faeces and carcasses, consequently in the insect's feed. Thanks to the acid-fast properties, mycobacteria are resistant to the effects of enzymatic activity of digests, and live mycobacterial cells can be excreted in vomits and faeces of insect.
