We thank Chen et al for their thoughtful and insightful commentary on our recent publication in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology regarding the immunological mechanisms underlying spontaneous preterm labor (PTL). Their perspectives on thymic-derived Helios+ regulatory T cells (Tregs), peripherally induced regulatory T cells (pTregs), and the influence of nutritional factors add valuable dimensions to our findings.
