The Central European Meteor Network in 2024

  • Original language description

Over the course of its fifteen-year existence, the CEMeNt (Central European MetEor NeTwork) has undergone rapid development, evolving from the observation of isolated multi-station meteors into an effective tool for studying the smallest particles of the Solar System. This joint project of Czech and Slovak amateur astronomers has expanded over time, with the wide-field camera system being complemented by spectrographic systems and NFC systems for recording faint meteors. The Valasske Mezirici Observatory became the center of the entire research effort during the development of the CEMeNt network, hosting wide-field systems and spectrographs. This article presents the results of video meteor observations and their spectra in 2024 and highlights the impact of implementing FHD cameras on the collected data.
