The Exposome and Lifestyle Medicine: Research Gaps

  • Original language description

A strategic and collaborative approach is essential to advance the future of research in lifestyle medicine and the exposome. Integrated research collaborations among healthcare professionals, geneticists, environmental scientists, and data analysts are essential to address the complexity of the exposome. The use of advanced technological tools plays a pivotal role in understanding the interaction between the exposome and lifestyle: high-throughput -omics, wearable devices, and advanced data analytics. To ensure the successful integration of resources, the allocation of strategic funding is vital to move exposome-focused research projects forward. There is a call to action for continued research and transdisciplinary collaboration to fully harness the potential of exposome-centered lifestyle medicine in improving public health and personalizing medical interventions.
