The joint ESC and EACTS guidelines help physicians in selecting the best management strategies for an individual patient with valvular heart disease. The level of evidence and the strength of recommendation are outlined in Tables 1 and 2.The Czech Society of Cardiology endorses ESC guidelines and prepares condensed summaries (a text of 5000 words plus selected tables and figures) from the original full text.
