Stress-dependent changes in the properties of p53 complexes by the alternative translation product p53/47
Original language description
We have investigated the influence of p53/47 on p53-dependent gene activation and modifications. p53/47-p53 hetero-oligomers complexes respond different to DNA-damaging drugs compared to homo-oligomers. p53/47 expression is cell stress-dependent. This indicates the importance of p53/47 regulating p53 activity in response to cell damage and stress.
