Association of MHC class I chain related gene-A microsatellite polymorphism with the susceptibility to T1DM and LADA in Czech adult patients

  • Original language description

The article describes detection of a trinucleotide repeat (GCT) microsatellite polymorphism within the transmembrane region of the MIC-A gene in Czech adult T1DM and LADA patients. We have identified the MIC-A5.1 allele as a genetic risk factor for development of T1DM, but not LADA. According to our findings, we can hypothesize that adult-onset T1DM and LADA may have partly different immunogenetic aetiopathogenesis.

Asociace mikrosatelitního polymorfizmu ?MHC class I chain related? genu-A s predispozicí k T1DM a LADA u českých dospělých pacientů
