Numerical and experimental aspects of arterial wall modelling

  • Original language description

The presented model of tunica media consists of active fibres, representing smooth muscle cells, embedded in the amorphous matrix that is reinforced by the passive fibres (collagen and elastin). Numerical examples of the model are demonstrated.

Numerické a experimentální aspekty modelování tepenné stěny

  • Czech description

Studovaný model tunica media tepenné stěny sestává z aktivních vláken reprezentujících hladké svalové buňky, zanořených v amorfní matrix a obklopených pasivními vlákny (analogy elastinu a kolagenu). Předkládáme ukázky numerických simulací modelu.
