The survival of breast cancer patients has significantly improved throug the treatment with anthracyclines. Although anthracyclines are known to produce renal disease in experimental animals, little is known about the toxicity of anthracyclines at clinically relevant doses in humans.

Czech description

Přežití pacientů s karcinomem prsu se výrazně zlepšilo při léčbě anthracykliny. Přesto, že o anthracyklinech víme, že u pokusných zvířat způsobují renální onemocnění, je málo známo o toxicitě anthracyklinů v odpovídajících dávkách u lidí.
