Original language description

Cardiotoxicity of anthracycline used for leukemia treatment is well known. Recently we observed decrease of systolic (SBP) and diastolic pressure (DBP) after the anthracycline treatment, which is seen still after several years. The link between cardiotoxicity and the blood pressure regulation was examined in the present study. Significant decrease of SBP in patients with low EF indicates a link between blood pressure decrease and anthracycline cardiotoxicity. Baroreflex sensitivity is not influenced.

Kardiotoxicita a citlivost baroreflexu u dětí léčených antracykliny pro leukémii

Czech description

Kardiotoxicita antracyklinových antibiotik používaných v léčbě leukémie je dobře známa. Bylo pozorováno snížení krevního tlaku (systolického i diastolického), které přetrvává i několik let po této léčbě. Zajímal nás vztah kardiotoxicity a regulačních mechanismů krevního tlaku. Echokardiograficky jmse stanovili ejekční frakci (EF). Signifikantně nižší hodnoty systolického krevního tlaku u skupiny pacientů s nízkou EF oproti skupině s vyššími hodnotami EF ukazuje na vztah mezi kardiotoxicitou a regulací krevního tlaku. Citlivost baroreflexu není ovlivněna.
