In septic rats we observed a decrease in glutamine concentration in blood and muscle, a decrease in BCAA in liver and jejunum and a decrease in protein synthesis in all tissues. Glutamine or glutamine+BCAA infusion increased glutamine concentration in plasma and muscle and stimulated protein synthesis in the liver. The BCAA infusion enhanced concentrations of BCAA in blood and tissues, the effect on protein synthesis was insignificant. Synergistic effect of glutamine and BCAA on protein synthesis was not observed.

Simultánní infúze glutaminu a aminokyselin s rozvětveným řetězcem (BCAA) septickým potkanům nemá významně příznivější vliv na proteosyntézu ve svalu, játrech a tenkém střevu než jejich samostatné podání
Czech description
U potkanů se sepsí byl pozorován pokles koncentrace glutaminu v krvi a svalu, pokles BCAA v játrech a jejunu a pokles proteosyntézy ve všech sledovaných tkáních. Infúze glutaminu či glutaminu+BCAA vedla ke vzestupu koncentrace glutaminu v krvi a svalu astimulaci proteosyntézy v játrech. Infúze BCAA navodila vzestup koncentrací BCAA v krvi a tkáních, vliv na proteosyntézu nebyl prokázán. Synergistický vliv souběžné infúze glutaminu a BCAA na proteosyntézu nebyl prokázán.
