Differential effects of statins and alendronate on cholinesterases in serum and brain of rats
Original language description
The aim of the present study was to test classical (statins) and atypical (bisphosphonates) cholesterol-lowering drugs for possible effects on blood acetyl- and butyrylcholinesterase and brain AChE activities with respect to their blood-brain barrier permeability. We conclude that cholesterol-lowering drugs may inhibit AChE activity in brain providing they penetrate blood-brain barrier.

Vliv statinů a alendronátu na cholinesterázy v séru
