Granulocytic sarcoma is a form of acute myeloid leukemia, also known as myelosarcoma or chloroma.It forms a solid malignant tumor consisting of myelocytes or granulocytes and is typically located in bone, occurrence in other parts of the body is rare. The disease progresses rapidly and has a poor prognosis. Treatment methods can be combined, but chemotherapy is the mainstay of treatment, as in acute myeloid leukemia.

Czech description
Granulocytární sarkom je solidní forma akutní myeloidní leukemie. Nazývá se také myelosarkom nebo chlorom. Je to maligní tumor z myelocytů nebo granulocytů. Typická lokalizace je v kostech, v jiných lokalizacích je vzácný. Onemocnění se rozvíjí rychle amá velmi špatnou prognozu. Léčba bývá kombinovaná, ale základem je chemoterapie stejně jako u akutní myeloidní leukemie.
