Point and Interval Estimates of IC50
Original language description
In this paper we show how to calculate the point estimation of the IC50 value as well as an appropriate IC50 interval estimation. From the point of view of data treatment, this paper represents a sharp, innovative approach based on precise mathematical interpretation of biophysical relations. The relations derived can initiate the creation of new software products of higher quality. One slight inaccuracy of this paper might be the fact that error uncertainties, in general, (concerning IC50 determining)may not always have normal probability distribution. Naturally, it is possible to demur against it (according to central limit theorem) that every continuous probability distribution asymptotically comes near to normal probability distribution.
