Influence of intervention on the development of risk factors studied within the cardivascular disease prevention
Original language description
The study describes desing, methods and resluts of the ?anti-stress programme? that was implemented in the firm Airproducts located in the Czech Republic within the framework of CVD prevention. The basic question of relation between selected psychosocialvariables and selected physiological and biochemical parameters was addressed. 70 individuals were examined using a set of psychological (type of behaviour, life events aim the past 12 months, daily events in the past month, level of resilience ? hardiness), psychophysiological (heart rate variability) and biochemical (total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triacylglycerides and glycemia) variables, as well as using basic demographic data. The results indicate very interesting inter-relationshipswithin the complex of cardiovascular somato-physiological and psychological risks, and also a slight, but obvious trend to decreased level of CVD risks in some cases.
