  • Original language description

The study explicates one of the most important concepts of Walter Benjamin's philosophy: the dialectical image. Together with the question of what is the dialectical image, it also analyses when is the dialectical image, or in what way does the dialectical image arise. Since the dialectical image is the place of truth, the study is also an inquiry into the temporality or historicity of truth. Describing the ontology of the dialectical image and the task of thinking, as they are conceived by Benjamin, the study elucidates both the theological and materialist ideas implicit in his concept.
