The Role of Experts in Developing Social Policies: Social Scientists Reflect on their Experiences in Government
Original language description
Studies of the role of actors in policy changes have usually focused on someone else's actions based on scientific knowledge rather than the academic experts' own engagement or activism. This special issue collects contributions from academics who have participated in the processes of designing/implementing social policy reforms as the actors producing and transferring their knowledge and ideas to the sphere of decision-making. It includes scholars working in Canada, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland.
