Ilyenkov's Interpretation of Hegel's Logic
Original language description
This article is a critique of an interpretation of Hegel's philosophy by Evald Ilyenkov (1924-1979), the Soviet Marxist who managed to bring German Idealism to the Soviet Union at the expense of some distortion to the original. In 1954, after the publication of the "Theses on the Subject of Philosophy", Ilyenkov was excommunicated from the academia because his views were considered by the authorities as a "perversion of Marxist philosophy". This was Ilyenkov's reformist role in relation to the official doctrine of "dialectical materialism". In 1955, Ilyenkov was accused of Hegelianism and denied a teaching position at the University of Moscow. Soviet Marxism, in the person of Ilyenkov, reached its peak and committed suicide. Mainly, my criticism is directed against Ilyenkov's subjective idealism.
