Original language description
This article examines the evolution of the Academic Reading exam and course at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Introduced in 2016, the exam assesses students' ability to comprehend specialized texts in multiple languages. The accompanying course, refined through continuous feedback from students and faculty and insights from the MiLLaT project, focuses on developing critical reading and mediation skills in a multilingual context. Emphasizing the use of digital tools, the course also prepares students to critically engage with AI-generated content in academic settings.
