This article presents the Jistebnice Cantional as a unique musical source that emerged from the spiritual reform movements at the beginning of the fifteenth century. Even in the European context, it is the earliest attempt to translate an entire collection of liturgical chants into a vernacular language. The text summarizes new findings on the dating of the manuscript and also presents a translation of the song Ktož jsú boží bojovníci (You who are the warriors of God).
