Financial System of the European Union after Brexit
Original language description
This monograph examines the timely legal and regulatory aspects of Brexit for the financial services sector. The financial services sector represents a significant part of the EU financial system and is a very important part of the UK's and the EU's economy. So far as Brexit will cause a split between the UK's and the EU's financial system, it is necessary to analyse the corresponding legal matters. Treaties, legislation, and regulation at the UK, the EU and international level will be considered and the many interests of different interest groups will frame and shape the final settlement between the UK and the EU. Therefore, law represents the instrument how to deal with Brexit from the financial system perspective and how to respond to the loss of a significant part of that system. The monograph is written by authors devoting their research to the regulation of the financial system, financial services sector and related regulatory issues.
