The article explores mainly therecent evolution of Czech arbitration law, addressing topics suchas interim measures and significant developments in the conductof arbitral proceedings, including the unusual role of the country'sCode of Civil Procedure or arbitrators' duty to instruct theparties, separability of arbitration agreement, competence-competencematters, disclosures and disqualification of arbitrators, orthe enforcement of arbitral awards. The authors argue that despiteCzechia not being formally a fully UNCITRAL Model Law compliantjurisdiction, the country nowadays offers a globally competitiveenvironment for arbitration, driven by recent pro-arbitrationcase law and experienced professionals, making it a viable seat ofarbitration on the international stage.
