Popularization and promotion of sacral monuments in Czech media
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to analyse space provided to Czech media with the issue of spiritual tourism, especially the Christian detached temples/shrines in 2018. This year was significant because of the signing the tourism memorandum between Czech Bishop Conference and Tourism Forum. For this reason, one can assume that this step will be publicized, which has proved to be an incorrect thesis. Church tourism has been on the rise in recent years and that means important challenges for the future. On one hand, the church tourism brings a profit, and is positive for the economic development of the destination or a cultural heritage. On the other hand, the increasing amount of tourists means a negative impact on the sustainability of the cultural heritage and the whole destination.
