    This chapter describes the positive changes in Para athletes&apos; and National Paralympic Committees&apos; communication in recent years, connected to the rapid development of social networks and social streaming platforms. It introduces various theoretical approaches dealing with the media coverage of athletes with an impairment, their acceptance by the audience, and the social media communication strategies of athletes, their sponsors and their representative institutions. It offers a typology of the athletes&apos; and National Paralympic Committees&apos; communication based on the topics they focus on. The chapter also reflects on the role of current Paralympians, as well as the expectations and challenges they are still facing.
