Original language description
The conference was held with leading specialist Dr Yasmin Gunaratnam (Goldsmiths University London, UK) to discuss innovative multi-sensual research methodologies. The conference was attended by Czech and international researchers (Ph.D. students, postdocs and assistant professors) who work in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Participants circulated discussion papers on their own multi-sensual research strategies and the methodological challenges they face ahead of the workshop to allow for an informed in-depth discussion of their research practices. Dr Gunaratnam gave the keynote lecture 'Borders of Becoming - Researching Immigration Policing' and Dr Lorenz-Meyer gave the keynote lecture 'Snapshot Photography as a Hospitable Method? Notes on the Geo-Corporeal Cartography of Home'.
