This work is focused on searching for optimized working conditions for determination of 5-nitroquinoline (5-NQ) using modern voltammetric methods. The following optimal conditions were found: Britton-Robinson (BR) buffer of pH 11.0 for both methods (DCVand DPV), the regeneration potential cycles (E-in = 0 mV, E-fin = 0 mV). Under these conditions limits of quantification (LOQ) were found to be 1.0x10(-6) mol L-1 for DCV and 4.0x10(-7) mol L-1 for DPV in deionized water. The LOQ for model samples of water were 2.0x10(-7) mol L-1 for drinking water and 6.0x10-7 mol L-1 for river water, both using DPV.
