Original language description
Charles Universit in Prague - Faculty of Science is one of the partners of the European project TEMI (Teaching Inquiry with Mysteries Incorporated), whose focus in mainly on the development of the skills and abilities of science teachers; skills and abilities necessary to realize IBSE in teaching as such. The project is based on four basic aspects stemming from the IBSE requirements and the teachers' professional development. The Faculty of Science at the Charles University, as a partner of this project, prepares, organizes and evaluates training courses for both in-service and pre-service teachers of primary and secondary schools, training them in inquiry-based education with mysteries incorporated. The sessions also introduce newly-created problems that include an engaging mystery, that motivates the students to solve them. The courses are based on the parcipitants'own Inquiry in order to have the mysteries and theIBSE approach form their own experiences and motivate them to use this approach in their praxis.
