Courses on teaching with mysteries incorporated in the Czech republic
Original language description
The European project TEMI (Teaching Enquiry with Mysteries Incorporated) is a science education project addressed mostly to science teachers. Its realization stems from four basic aspects that are based on the requirements of IBSE and the teachers' professional development. The Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague is one of the project's partners; it also organizes professional teacher trainings for primary and secondary school teachers who are being trained in inquiry-based education with mysteries incorporated. Those will be presented in this chapter. The trainings also introduce newly-created problems including an engaging mystery that motivates the students to solve the problem.
