As part of the ongoing studies on the nomenclature and taxonomy of the genus Thymus Linnaeus (1753: 590) in the Mediterranen area (Bartolucci 2010, Bartolucci et al. 2013, Federici et al. 2013, Bartolucci & Domina 2014, 2015, Bartolucci & Peruzzi 2014, Bartolucci & Scharfetter 2015, Bartolucci & Walter 2015), a contribution concerning a new nomenclatural combination and remarks on the type material of Th. thracicus Velenovský (1892: 16) is here presented.
