We consider triangular nonconforming finite element of third order accuracy called P3mod element. We show that this finite element is appropriate for approximating the velocity in incompressible flow problems since it satisfies an inf-sup condition for discontinuous piecewise quadratic pressures.

Czech description
Uvažujeme nedávno zavedený trojúhelníkový nekonformní konečný prvek třetího řádu přesnosti v energetické normě zvaný P3mod prvek. Ukazujeme, že tento konečný prvek je vhodný pro aproximaci rychlosti v problémech nestlačitelného proudění, neboť splňuje inf-sup podmínku pro nespojité po částech kvadratické tlaky.
