In this contribution we present preliminary results of our emerging large eddy simulation (LES) model for air flow in complex areas. This model is in development and the main aim of its use should be atmospheric dispersion in urban or industrial areas. We computed two test cases - a fully developed turbulent flow in a channel and a flow around a cubic obstacle placed at the bottom of this channel.
