Original language description
The fluid model of the positive column in argon under pressure several hundreds of pascal is demonstrated in our contribution. One-dimensional model is based on the drift--diffusion approximation of the particle flux. Radial profiles of species in discharge tube, the reactions among them and their interaction with the walls are taken into account. The mean-electron-energy approximation is used for the treatment of electron reactions. The model estimates the particle concentration and the electric field.
