Exploratory approaches to analyzing eye-tracking data for multiple-choice questions: An example of graph interpretation
Original language description
We used the eye-tracking method to observe 32 highschool students' strategies when they solved 7 multiplechoice tasks focused on graph slope in kinematics. Weprovide comparison of attention allocation betweendifferent students' groups: those, who solved a test taskcorrectly/incorrectly and those who solved the wholetest the best/the worst. Moreover, we applied the clusteranalysis in order to divide students into groupsaccording to their attention spent on each option and atask stem. The groups of students so selected differedmost in the time they spent reading the stem or the stemgraph.
