Universal dependencies of old English. Automatic parsing with a computational model of language
Original language description
This thesis falls within the fields of historical linguistics, corpus linguistics and natural language processing. To be more precise, it focuses on the morphology and syntax of Old English and aims to assess the accuracy of an automatic annotation model for Old English that applies the Universal Dependencies framework (de Marneffe et al. 2021). To do so, a corpus of 25,000 words (golden corpus) has been manually annotated with the tag sets of the parallel contemporary English-old English corpus ParCorOEv2 (Martín Arista et al. 2021).
