Meaning Features and Verb Valence
Original language description
A system of semantic classification is presented, casting a net of 25 broadly defined situational features over nearly 2000 verbs of Norwegian, with equivalents for English. The feature specifications are formally connected to valence representations in the valence catalogue NorVal, to facilitate investigations into the relation between verb meaning and verb valence. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
