Due to the longstanding coexistence of both the Czech and German/Austrian ethnics, lots of German/Austrian loan-words became domesticated in the Czech. A significant language contact area in Central Europe is the contact area which is based on the formercentre of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. From this contact area, a remarkable territory emerged in southern Moravia that was particularly affected by the influence of Czech on German.

Czech description
Je obecně známo, že jazyky, které jsou na určitém území po staletí užívány jako prostředek komunikace, mají tendenci se navzájem ovlivňovat. Tyto jazyky jsou si časem typologicky podobnější, než kdyby se vyvíjely nezávisle na sobě. Proto se lingvisté ? srov. zejména četné studie ? již delší dobu zabývají analýzou geografické vazby typologických vlastností jazyků. Příspěvek se zabývá historickými aspekty, aktuální situací němčiny na jižní Moravě. Pozornost se klade na dialektické jevy středobavorských nářečí na v areálu jižní Moravy.
