The purpose of this study is to provide a review of the current state of knowledge about the development of reading skills in children with specific language impairment (SLI) in long term perspective in relation to their well-being, social interaction, school and work success throughout youth and adulthood. The review focuses on international research, but also aims to explain how SLI is treated in Czech educational and counseling system.
