In the article, the use of projects in mathematical education is studied. The following three aspects are discussed: the use of projects in mathematics school edication of 11 to 15-year-old students, in the teacher training and in the research in the didactics of mathematics as a tool for diagnosing the level of a students understanding of concepts.
